Sean Henney

Sean's vision is a digitally interconnected private markets industry. Firms building on shared foundations rather than rebuilding basic infrastructure from scratch. Data flowing between counterparties without manual handling. To get there, the industry needs common language first. Sean mapped the full operational structure of a private markets firm from first principles and derived a classification that maps technology to operational layers. That is the foundation for everything PMT produces.

Sean brings cross-domain expertise to this work. He worked in private markets investing at USS, the UK's largest pension scheme, allocating capital to fund managers and investing directly into private assets across equity and credit. Before that, he advised clients listed on UK public markets across capital markets activity. He is also a self-taught software engineer.

Before any of this, Sean played professional rugby league for Warrington Wolves.
